Motion detect settings

Post by eaglesong »

I'm new to security cameras and the manual doesn't say anything about these settings...

I'm looking at:

Period
Interval/sec
delay/sec
record delay/sec

From what I saw on the forums, record delay/sec is the number of seconds the camera will continue to record after motion has stopped.

So what are the others?

Thanks for any and all replies.

Hello eaglesong ,

Not sure what is the model number of your camera/system.

Interval/sec- This is the interval between two snapshots if email alerts has been set up.
Period-This should be how long the cameras stays in triggered mode once motion is detected.

I am at a loss to understand why the model of my system would matter. Let me go look though and then maybe I'll get a full answer to my question. Contacting support through email only resulted in a reply that kind of said they're sad that they can't answer my question.

From the box: Model : K04P2H1-P48DV

So for that model...

Period =
Interval/sec =
delay/sec =
record delay/sec =

I think my favorite answer from email support is "Interval/sec = Motion detect trigger interval is set to the interval of next trigger of motion detect after the trigger of this time (1S default)" Try and convince me that wasn't written by a politician.

The model number you've posted is for an Anran (no-name Chinese brand) camera.

This is a support forum for Amcrest cameras.

Can you see the problem?
