I currently have a WD MyCloud NAS that is ~10TB of free storage. I currently can FTP into the NAS server and upload my camera footage/photos. My problem is that I do not want to footage to take up the entire 10TB, all I want to write is ~2TB to the FTP server. How can I limit the upload amount before the amcrest software starts to overwrite itself?
I have tried to create a separate user on the MY Cloud and I can limit the upload amount per user (I did 10GB as test). I relogged into the FTP with the new user and password and I was able to start writing the data to NAS but when it reached 10GB of data it just quit uploading to NAS all together until I manually deleted some of the data in the server. I have made sure that the "overwrite" feature is checked on the amcrest software.
Any help is greatly appreciated as I dont want to return my product as this is the only thing keeping it from working for my situation. I dont want to have to purchase another 2TB NAS or NVR,HDD.
