Latency of AD110

Ive just installed an AD110 doorbell and noticed there is a massive delay when somebody presses the button to when you can actually speak to them. Even after answering the call there is a lag during the two way conversation.

My wifi network is rock solid and definitely not the issue here.

Does anyone know if the RTP traffic is being sent out of my LAN to the internet somewhere before talking to my phone app or does this support Peer to peer?
