Looking to buy the 2699EW-AI.
The feature I want is when someone activates the trip wire to notify my alarm panel which will turn on some lights at night, make announcement during day, etc.
Looking at the IVS setup, below checking "Relay Out", it has "Alarm Delay" which specifies how long delay between alarm activation and relay alarm activation and the smallest value you can input is 10 seconds. Does that mean, there has to be at least 10 seconds from when the tripwire triggers and the camera sends a signal out? Seems dumb or am I not understanding? I'd imagine "Relay out" should be instantaneous.
The Dahua version seems to be how long to leave the Relay on for.
IVS Feature Relay Out and Delay
Re: IVS Feature Relay Out and Delay
Hello and Welcome to the forum.
While I don't have that AI camera I do have a few. Looking at my Amcrest AI camera the Relay Delay is setup for how long that the Relay will Latch. Personally I don't like that it has to latch 10 seconds at a Min. Looking at my AI NVR it does let me change the Latch from the NVR down to 2. Only issue with this is that is only for the Alarms from the NVR it self and didn't translate that info to the camera. So if you look at the Wording for Record they also use Delay and that is How long you want it to Record once an event is triggered. Same goes for the wording of the Alarm.

Re: IVS Feature Relay Out and Delay
Thanks for the quick reply.
Dahua uses the word "latch" too for how long it will last.
So maybe it's just the wording. How long the relay lasts makes more sense.

Re: IVS Feature Relay Out and Delay
Yeah I don't know anymore really. I have to many cameras and devices. Looking at my 2020 Dahua camera with IVS it also has Alarm Delay. Starting to think maybe coding of time by different coders using different words. Maybe the Factory they were built in? Not sure.. I know it gets to be hard at times to understand what is meant by all the different words.
Edit: Second Picture is from a 2015 old 8mp AI camera from Dahua and last software update is from 2016 and it also has same wording maybe in different cameras different words? Anyway that is the 2nd picture. Removed from my POE NVR access over my Network Switch. Didn't Download the plug-in because I don't use in network only over the NVR and if I DL that Plug in it messes up my Dahua cameras I have on network lol. Second Picture here..
