App on iPhone is not working over mobile network,
Once I'm home and is connected to my home wifi I can access all the cameras just fine. I notice this problem right after iOS 10.2 update. Please fix .

Re: iPhone app not working over mobile network
Look in the settings section of the app on your iPhone, and see if the little slide bar for cellular data is turned off. This happens sometimes when you update the app, and you have to go into settings and turn the cellular data slide bar back to "ON".

Same issue in iPhone 7+.byronbigrims wrote:App on iPhone is not working over mobile network,

Cellular data is on but it refuses to connect immediately unless on wifi.
Re: iPhone app not working over mobile network
I just received and installed my IP2M-841B on Dec. 23 and was able to access the camera through the app over cellular with no problem. I have an iPhone 6s at the latest release 10.2.
Have you checked if you are on the latest firmware? Have you tried deleting the app and re-installing it on the iPhone?
Also try selecting the what looks like a camera icon in the upper right corner of the screen and then select your camera again and then select "live view" below. I turned off wifi on my phone while at home and had to do that to connect again thru cellular.

Re: iPhone app not working over mobile network
My problem was getting my camera to connect on the wifi from my work. It just would not connect from the app. Cellular was just fine like I mentioned before. Wifi from home no problem from work go-no. So I just went into the app again and did Add Device again and used DVR/NVR and put in my DNS and the port I'm using for HTTP. I know this is different than your problem but I'm just using this example as maybe try defining the device again to the app? What port are you using in the device definition?
The "Type" that is defined for my cellular connection that works is P2P. For my Wifi connection I got working today from work Type is IP/Domain. For Type P2P try using the Port number defined for TCP in Network/Connection in Setup.
Do you have your camera defined with a static ip address?

Re: iPhone app not working over mobile network
You need to make sure you are not connecting via the local IP. If everything is working fine on WIFI at home it would suggest your app is set up to connect to your LAN IP instead of your WAN IP.
The easiest way to config this is with an NVR. Go into the NVR and set it up for P2P and scan the code on the screen to connect your app up. This way you can connect to one unit and have access to see all the cameras connected to it. I have my network set up this way so i dont have multiple camera open to the internet i actually block the cameras and just connect through my NVR which in turn gives me access to everything.
If you just have a hand full of cameras you going to want to do the same thing connect with P2P mode otherwise you need to make sure the correct ports for your camera are being forwarded through your router/firewall and that the IP address you are using in your app connection is for your camera Public or WAN IP versus your LAN IP.

Re: iPhone app not working over mobile network
I too had an issue withthis not working over cellular, but wifi was just fine. Nothing worked; like removing app then reloading, but I found that turning my phone off completely, then back on did the trick. Anyways just an idea to try. Although this thread was started in 2016 I'm sure someone else has this issue too.

Re: iPhone app not working over mobile network
I just started to experience the same thing. Have been trying to resolve over the last two days. I can access the camera from my laptop remotely (different state) using amcrestddns.com and the configured port number and the router set with port forwarding and the camera IP address being static. I have P2P turned off on the camera. I am using the Chrome plugin as a standalone app. I tried playing with the app entering the wrong DDNS URL or port number and it doesn't connect (as expected) and when I correct it it does connect so I know it works properly. Not a problem with laptop.
Sitting in the same chair remotely, I cannot get the iPhone app to connect to the camera using the same DDNS name through amcrestddns and same port number. It comes back quickly with a Failed to Connect message. Yes I set up as already connected camera and have entered the DDNS and port and username and password correctly. I have already tried removing the app and reinstalling it. I have already tried powering down my iPhone and starting it up again. I have even tried removing the app from the iPhone, powering down, powering up, and then installing the app. Still fails.
On my iPhone using the Amcrest View Pro app, with the wrong DDNS name, I get an immediate "Failed to connect". With the correct DDNS name and the wrong port number I get "Connecting" for a few seconds and then a "Login timed out". With the correct DDNS name and the correct port, I am getting the "Live View" screen appearing and then a "Failed to connect" fairly quickly on the bottom of the view area. This all indicates that I am getting to the DDNS server OK and through my router OK but the camera is refusing to connect.
Any further suggestions would be appreciated... Thanks...
