IPConfig not finding Camera

Post by interactivebob »

I have an IP2M-841 that I set up using the app. I'm able to connect to it via the app, but when I launch the desktop IPConfig program the camera cannot be found. Thoughts???

Hello interactivebob ,

Click on the settings on the IPconfig tool and under the search start ip please enter the ip address of your router and save it. Refresh the tool and see if that works.

If you have two routers the computer should be connected to the same router as the camera to be able to be detected by the config tool. Connection can be wired or wireless.

Thanks Melvin, but still no luck. In the settings dialogue, what should the IP Number be? Also, I have 2 cameras; one that was set up wirelessly and the second that is fresh out of the box (and is wired to the router, the only router) and has never been set up. I have tried the creds for the wireless camera and the default creds (for the new one) but still no detection. Any other suggestions?

Download the app Fing for your smartphone. Connect to your network and run it. You'll see all the devices on your network.

Have you checked that you have the most current version of the IP tool? I was having issues too, updating the application helped.
