I have IP8M-T2499EW camera and have not been able to get the snapshot function to work. I am using IPTIMELAPSE software, which works fine on other brands of IP cameras, including a different Amcrest camera.
Amcrest support says there is no Command for snapshots, but when I first set it up, it was downloading pictures, then just stopped. This is the command I am using, with my username and password in place of username and password.

I have tried just about every possible combinations with no luck. Any suggestions

Re: IP8M-T2499EW Snapshot
I can't help with this except to say that what you describe is exactly my own experience to the extent that I've given up trying to use the SDK. My suspicion is that a Windows update at some stage has broken things. One thing I did notice was that just before things stopped working altogether, I kept getting a user/password challenge from Windows each time I tried to access the CGI snapshot.
At one stage I thought it might have been caused by my having updated the firmware in my cameras but then when I thought about it more carefully, the updates didn't coincide with the break down of the snapshot cgi.
I now use Amcrest Surveillance Pro to grab snapshots when I want them but that's manually just 2 or 3 times a day when the fancy takes me prior to running an app to rename and upload the snapshots to my webspace.

Re: IP8M-T2499EW Snapshot
Just out of interest I have re-visited the app that I created to grab screenshots and what I said above wasn't quite correct. My cameras/firmware are shown in my sig. The IP2M-841B does actually still work and returns a snapshot whereas both the IP3M-941's fail and return a 500 error. It's not an informative error but it is defined as an internal server error so that would point to the camera hard or firmware I suppose.

Re: IP8M-T2499EW Snapshot
I have no luck at this point. I need it to create a snapshot every 15-20 seconds to create a time lapse via the IPTimelapse software.
Re: IP8M-T2499EW Snapshot
I assume that you are not getting snapshots returned from the camera and you are not referring to the software that you're using.
I made my own application to grab the snapshots but it relies on MS Internet Explorer components so although it's working for now on my IP2M-841B, it's only going to last a short time. It's not therefore something I'm going to pursue.
I use my video editing software to compile and edit the final video
Out of interest and just for something to do, I did a timelapse of the sky seen out of my 'office' this morning - https://youtu.be/XRPsrh7UblA

Re: IP8M-T2499EW Snapshot
@longedge - Nice timelapse video...
@johnmac78
If you can't get the snapshot URL working, you could try the method I described here. I said View Pro in one place in it where it should say Surveillance Pro.
https://amcrest.com/forum/ip-cameras-f1 ... tml#p28113
IPTIMELAPSE says you can use a user specified folder of snapsots as input.

Re: IP8M-T2499EW Snapshot
Sorry, ignore the Surveillance Pro method I mentioned yesterday. Here's a possibly better way.
IPTIMELAPSE apparently supports a Camera rtsp url also.
https://iptimelapse.com/download/iptimelapseuserguide/
An Amcrest rtsp url example whould be:
rtsp://admin:[email protected]:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0
camera mainstream is subtype=0
substream is subtype=1
