I have a IP8M-T2499EW, viewed using Amcrest View Pro v4.1.0 on an iPhone 11 Pro Max on iOS 15.3.1.
I want to place my camera in an awkward location, so need to place it on its side. No problem… I thought - I’ll use the mirror/flip menu on the app to rotate the image left or right 90 degrees. Nope… nothing happens. I can flip and mirror the image, but not rotate.
Any suggestions of ways around this problem (other than mounting the camera differently!)?
Many thanks in advance for any advice and/or solutions.

Re: IP8M-T2499EW Live image rotate issue
Just a quick update. I also get no joy using Amcrest Surveillance Pro on a Windows laptop. Finds and displays the device. Select Device CFG > "camera name" > Camera > Camera > Viewing Angle and try selecting Flip Mode 1 or 2 in the drop down > Apply, and get "Failed to set camera properties!" "Flip" and "No Flip" work successfully, however.

If the rotation settings you want are available for your camera, then they will be in the camera Web UI. That is the best and most reliable place to change settings.

Welcome to the Forum.
As Jack7 has stated it is best to use WebUI for making them changes. Now don't get me wrong with a good connection to your camera ASP can also make changes as well. Personally as it is well known I don't like ASP much.
Also if your camera is able to work in IE still I would make changes in IE WebUI. Things just seem to work better there. Even my 2496ew-v2 has better options when using IE then it does any of the others..
When you log in, Click on Setup and should be on the camera setting page already if not click on camera, Configuration and then on the center right area should have Flip and Mirror area along with all other settings.
I checked my cameras ASP and I can make changes in there as well, Don't really state 90 180 or 270 it just give 3 options and No.. If working with Wifi or a Camera that don't have a good connection to your network ASP can fail to get the data needed. Want to make sure your connection to network for computer is good and the camera to the network is solid..

Re: IP8M-T2499EW Live image rotate issue
However after reading your post again. It might be that your camera only has flip no flip options. Not all cameras offer the 90, 180 and 270 options.
Just messing around I was looking for cameras with options but ones that wouldn't work. Came up to my 1051 and was able to do 270, personally didn't think it would work and now ASP no longer lets me in to access the cameras settings. Don't even get a fail just nothing shows up lol. So I was able to fix it just had to log into IE, Even though the FW on it don't work in IE access to the settings still work.

Hi again. Sorry for the delayed reply back.
Sadly I think you're right when you said "It might be that your camera only has flip no flip options". I've given up and constructed a bracket to give me an orientation that works. But thanks for your help!
Notwithstanding having now moved on, a quick question if I may from something you hinted at in your messages above. I use Amcrest View Pro v4.1.0 on an iPhone and Amcrest Surveillance Pro on a Windows laptop. You make reference to an IE WebUI option. I tend to use Chrome for web browsing, but of course do have IE as well. I presume IE WebUI is different from Amcrest Surveillance Pro? How do I access it? Maybe that would have given me more options? Either way, still would be very handy to know!
Many thanks for your help.
