IP8M-DT3949EW-3AI lost App connection

Post by LarryB5417 »

Great cameras, I have many, this will be camera number 2 with same issue. First one never resolved had to replace after 3 years in service.
Here is another, same exact problem, suddenly went off line via iPhone App or Web browser. IP config Tools can see it showing correct IP, Mac, and Serial Num.
Can log in using IP Config, however an error message says "The Device and the PC are not in the same segment or the port is wrong"

Tried to upload the camera backup, another error says "Invalid Bios File"

I am trying to fix it without getting a ladder and performing internal tac switch reset, which was done to first camera and did not correct issue.

This sems to be a common issue now since this is the second camera to develop same condition.

I don't know, It might be an issue in the FW, or the way the file is being read or setup in the camera after power fail or some other type of issue that I am not aware of..

If you are not able to access it, Sounds like an issue with wrong gateway or IP range. If you have acess to the camera on Ip config Tools I would look to see if you can change the IP status with the Tool. I am not sure as I don't remember what options are abled in Amcrest tools.. I would look at the Eztools or Dahua Ip Config Tool there is more things that can be done. The using the Dahua IP Tools, I would click on the device and choose DHCP. Then once that gives a good IP that can be accessed in WebUI or what ever, Log into the camera and make change to the Network from DHCP to Static.
Be Safe.

Thank you Revo, I will try the Dahua Tools, the IP Config from Amcrest will not show DHCP icon in this state.
Will advise

No go with Dahua, was able to select in that application DHCP within its own program but rebooting by disconnecting ethernet or select manual reboot within Dahus did not reset ip address or allow router to assign a new one, defaulted right back to static original.
I guess next step is try manual reset and see if camera actually performs the action.

Wait in the app where you put in the data or change to DHCP there should be an OK at the bottom and when you press OK it should give a Check mark or a Triangle. You want the Green Check mark.. If it is Triangle then it failed.. IF fails you will want to make sure that you click the top button Search Setting. In there enter the correct password for your camera. Then try again. Again if it works you will nto need to reboot camera it will give a check and you can access with new IP addresses within a few seconds to like 30 at most.. Second picture is of 8ch DVR with different password you can see that it fails..
