Howdy All,
According to the manual if you set the profile to "normal" is will automatically switch the profile from Day mode to Night mode as programmed.
For this model camera, I cannot seem to make it work automatically. If I set it to normal it just stays in the Day mode profile.
Anyone have any suggestions to make this work automatically?
Thanks

Re: IP5M-1173EW Camera Day/Night Profile Management
It is because the wording is not understood to what it means..
When it is in Normal the Auto Day and night mode is because under Normal setting for Configuration it is setup for Auto Day and Night and what they mean by leaving it in Normal and it will change for day and Night is when the Level of light gets to a set things for the camera it will change over to the IR settings for night time use...
IF you want the Camera to change for different settings between day and Night you will need to pick the Schedule in the Management and make changes inside the Day and Night menu to reflect your needs of the times you set in the Scheduled times...
Say from 12 noon you want your camera to change to day because you live on a Beach and your camera is pointed in a way that the Sun is always Reflecting off the waves or for what ever reason you need to setup your Shutter to 1/1000000 from noon until 5pm where you can then click it back to Auto for the time between 5pm and noon it will work at what ever you setup for the Night time settings for the camera, and from noon until 5 it will work with what you setup plus keep the Shutter full time at the 1/1000000 that you have setup for Day....
However I might be wrong but I know that is how they sadly work.. Under Normal or General or any other wording it has ever been it is same as Full time if you will. So Only just made Scheduled and Full time as my Modes to use...
To be honest the other way it should work like it does for my other machine.. When I have it set to Normal, when the Camera detects that it is now time to be night it will switch over to Night settings then when light comes up and it will change to day time settings but this also has some issues even under the full time because it don't work as well as using the Schedule settings... This lets you Fine Tune when you want Day and Night Not just AUTO Mode from Camera Eye and LDR... That mode can keep your camera going from Night mode to day mode when the light is going up and down on Cloudy days or just before it really gets dark enough... Best to Really use a Schedule however with Times change from Summer and Winter you would have to mess with your settings as seasons change
