IP3M-954EB comes with no power supply

This camera is POE but usually, like other POE IP cameras that I have purchased, they come with a power supply and it's not real POE. That's what I expected when I bought this and after opening the box there was no power supply included and no message on the box telling you this. Had I known I would have bought an injector when I was at the store. Luckily I had a 12v transformer laying around and got it up and running.

tl;dr Here's my question. If I get a 12v injector will this camera accept power over Cat6 cable? The other outside POE I have cameras do not. If it does I can't find any specs regulating the distance to the power source. Usually cameras take too much power to run long distances.

This model does not come with a power adapter. You can get an 802.3af complaint injector or the one below from our website.
