I have had 3 IP2M wireless cameras for a year or so now and have had acceptable results when capturing video. I bought 2 IP3M versions last November and have been very disappointed in the video recordings. I have tried adjusting the shutter setting to "shutter priority" and have also worked with "manual" options. No matter how I change the shutter options, I get blurry recordings. I was able to get some limited success with changing the stream to 1080, but I specifically bought this model for the higher resolution. Do these use a different sensor or something than the IP2M versions? I am recording to samsung micro sd cards rated at U3. The cameras are both on a wireless network with excellent signal strength. Both software versions are: 2.520.AC00.18.R, Build Date: 2017-06-29
So what can I try to do in this situation? Is it something with recording to the sd micro cards? I purposely bought high speed cards for this purpose. If anyone has any experience or suggestions, please let me know. Thanks,

Hi gba88,
If the build date of software version is 2017 that may be an older version. Check the latest firmware for your model and update

Take a look at these video and see if their day and night results are about like yours.

If yours is about the same, You probably need a more expensive camera.

Re: IP3M-941 blurry recordings
The image quality is good only when there is plenty of light. Vandalism or petty crime does not happen in broad day light. So if you use this camera or any other camera like Amazon Cloud Cam, they are just useless as they cant capture a high quality image with poor lighting. The IR option does not help if you are placing the camera on a window to record things outside as the IR led's will get reflected off the window glass and all you see is bright light.
To get some viewable image at night, I set the BLC mode to BLC instead of the default "off". You can set the exposure to manual and set it to 1/3 but that makes the video very laggy. So that wont help. With BLC turned on, you can also bump up the brightness to 55. The image is certainly not going to be as sharp as a day time image. But decent. It will be a bit grainy which you may call as blurry. Setting the res to 3MP gives the best picture but like I have mentioned in other posts this camera has issues i.e choppy video.
What good is it if the camera does not capture a contonuous video. The IP3M941 worked well for a few days and then the video got all choppy. If I am out of town I cant do a factory reset and so it is basically useless as a secuity camera.
