ip2M-841B login page can be accessed from 2 different ip

Post by zsylvainz »

I can access my ip2M-841B login page from 2 different ip; The ip attributed from DHCP or set as a static ip AND 192.168.0.108

For example :
If I change my ip2M-841B ip to STATIC 192.168.0.130, I will be able to access the camera login page using that ip which is normal

BUT whatever static ip I set the cam, I always can log to the cam login page at the following ip : 192.168.0.108

So, I can always log to the ipcam login page either using the static ip I set in the parameters or using 192.168.0.108.

The problem persist if I set the camera to DHCP; I will be able to access the cam with the ip set from DHCP or by using 192.168.0.108.

the 192.168.0.108 seems to be burnt in the camera.

I tried rebooting the routers, the computer, the cam itself without success.

Please note Setup>Network>WIFI is disabled

Anyway to fix this ?

Also

When I click the Setup>System>Upgrade>[Check Version] button, nothing happens.

Thanks for the help

Hello zsylvainz,

I am not sure what is causing this. I know you already mentioned that the wifi is turned off but that is the only reason I can think of to be causing this. The wired and wireless adapters of the camera can have two different ip addresses that can work at the same time. Please try doing a hard reset on the camera and check if the issue persists.

Thanks for your reply. I imagine a hard reset is done pushing the reset button on the camera itself. Unfortunately, the camera is installed 50' high with other cameras. The only way I can reach it, is by renting a boom lift which I would only do if I had problems with other cams as well. In other words, my only action can be to reboot, remove ac power, or change software configurations.

I confirm wifi IS turned OFF on the ip cam.

Thanks
