Ip Camera Viewer Pro and IP2M-841B

Post by boobunnies »

I have Ip Camera Viewer Pro through our Roku, on a wireless connection using Xfinity, and am using the IP2M-841B. I would like to be able to view our camera on our TV using our Roku. I am attempting to use the IP Camera Viewer Pro. However, I have been unable to add my camera properly to the IP Camera Viewer. I can get through the instructions and it actually will add an entry for the camera, but I have yet to be able to view the video itself. I have tried several different configurations, but I'm not experienced with this. I don't know if it is in the mpeg link or what. I have tried several.

This is but the latest one:

http://user:pass@IP:port/cgi-bin/mjpg/video.cgi?[channel=0]&subtype=1

(of course substituting as needed)
I'm not sure of the port, or actually any of the settings except my user, pass and IP. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you updated the sub-stream settings on the camera?

I was struggling with the same issue. Log into the camera, go to Setup, then under Camera, choose Video Settings.

Make sure that substream is enabled, and the encode mode is set to MJPEG. That did it for me.

If it helps anyone, I used the ONVIF "Discover..." in addition to enabling the substream as ckronengold suggests and that worked. One thing to note: the Roku app says "TCP" for port, and when you go to the Amcrest camera settings, I think they want HTTP, not TCP because when I did "Discover" it put port 80 in there, which is NOT the Amcrest TCP, but rather HTTP.
