IFTTT+Amcrest
I know right now there is no integration with IFTTT (smart recipes), but is there anything in development to support this type of automation? And if so, when?

I believe you can integrate tinyCam and IFTTT. tinyCam works with Amcrest as I use it.

You can do this today with the IFTTT "Email" recipe.
Setup your NVR to send email on motion detection to [email protected]
Ensure that email is being sent from the same email address that is registered with IFTTT
Then, in IFTTT, create an applet which has the "then" based on email i.e.
For example, my IFTTT applet is like this
If Send [email protected] any email from <email-address-used-by-nvr>, then upload photo to album.
And this uploads the photo that was attached to the email to a Google Photos Album
