I have Amcrest camera on my phone app and want to put it on tablet

Post by diddlydoo »

I put the camera on my phone app and it's working....except I have to fix the awful echo on the audio.

I placed the camera in living room on top of a tall piece of furniture and got it just right for viewing.

Now, I want to put the camera on the tablet with bigger screen. Is the only way to take the camera down and hook it up via ethernet as I did the phone app? I hate to move the camera once I got it just right. Just wanted to make sure....I'm not very techy.

Thanks.

I have the Amcrest View Pro app installed and running on my iPhone and iPad. I can also connect using Amcrest Surveillance Pro OR Internet Explorer (Firefox doesn't work) from my PC.

I did the initial set-up on the iPad and made a written note of the camera serial number and then used that to setup the apps on the iPhone and PC.

Thanks. I did take a pic of the camera serial number so I do have that. Sounds like according to you I wouldn't need to have the camera connected to router via ethernet then to connect to tablet?

No, don't think so. In the initial setup on my iPhone I just chose "P2P" and entered the serial number manually. After a while it connected. I have to say that if it was an option I would always use ethernet. I have given up worrying about connection problems, if the iPad or iPhone don't connect after a minute or so I close the app and re-open it to try again (I'm a member of the 'keep pressing things until it works' brigade :) )
