How to use the IP4M-1041B cam with a non Amcrest NVR:
This would be better if you have a 2nd router and not recommended for those inexperienced dealing with networks and routers.
You need to first get the ip subnet of the NVR. I'm going to use heimvision hm241 as an example. Mine uses a subnet of 172.20.14.x.
You need to write the subnet down. Go into your 2nd router's config page and change it's subnet to match that of the NVR.
The reason for this is that the NVR has no means to access the cam's built in web page to configuire it. Once you have the
router's subnet set and the cam configuired disconnect the camera from the router and open the NVR's setting and add the
cam manually. You can then reset the router back to it's default subnet of 192.168,x.x.

I hope this helps anyone else. I love this cam and it works great with anything I throw at it. I can even use the ptz function of the cam in
the hm241 NVR.
