How to open file type FILE

Hi all
i have an Amcrest 1080P WiFi Video Monitoring Security Wireless IP Camera, i don't have a problem using it although i'm sure there are a few things i could still learn lol.

I don't have a dvr so i've allocated 15gb on my laptop for storage of footage! which is in a folder called Media, i can open the folder but i can't open the individual files within that, is it possible to open these file types?

You have to go into file manager and go to View Options and then the View tab and then unclick the Hide extensions for known file types. Do that and then post another screen shot.

Sorry if im being thick but what do you mean when you say go into file manager?, how do i get there? and thanks for your help.

Iv'e just done that and the box is already unticked so i ticked it and nothing changed so i unticked it again and still the same screenshot.
