Hello all,
New to cameras, but I have managed to get it all setup and working. My primary reason for the cameras inside is unfortunately, I have a son that can not be trusted no to have "friends" over when I am out of town. He is a clever guy and always looking for loop-holes to work around. So, here is my question. Due to space limitations (on board SIM chip), I only have recording done when motion is detected. If he unplugs the camera, is there a way to know this? My preference is to know this via stored video or other generally stored data without any external attachments.
How to know if Camera was unplugged
Re: How to know if Camera was unplugged
Hello wgbatche,
I think the only way to know if the camera was turned off is by checking the cameras log. It will show the time for the device start up the next time camera is powered on. The best thing is to set up email alert so that it can send email with attachment when it detects motion.
