HELP -- Stopped Receiving Notifications on Mobile App???

The Amcrest View Pro app had been working fine for the last month or so and now I stopped receiving notifications. This has happened before and I got them to come back (not sure how or what I had to do to get them back). Why is this happening and what do I have to do to get my push notifications back? Please advise...

Hello tstone3 ,

Try deleting the camera from the app and re adding it again. Re enable push notification.

Yeah for whatever odd reason push notifications in the Amcrest app stop working every now and then on my phone--for me, I go into the Amcrest app settings and simply disable and then re-enable push notifications to get it working again (make sure to tap the Save icon each time after disable and re-enable steps); there is no need to delete and then re-add camera--at least in my case I didn't need to do that. As to why push notifications seem to stop working every now and then--no idea.

Last week I bought a couple IP2M-842E on Software Version 2.420.0000.0.R and push notifications on iphone 6 iOS 10.2.1 has been working on and off since setting it up. I've done everything listed in other posts and it doesn't matter. It appears to be stable if I don't make any changes and I'm mainly making changes to the schedule. I feel there's a bug in the camera firmware and not the app. Was going to buy more cameras but will wait until this gets fixed. My workaround is setting up smtp email and my mail receiver is going to an email account I hardly use with an app on my iphone. Then I just turned on notifications for that email app, works great and notifies you faster. I still would rather have Amcrest fix IP2M-842E camera push notification. Guess I was spoiled with Foscam software, never had issues but I do like my new Amcrest camera so far so I'll be patient and wait.
