Green flickering video on half of screen

Post by hamikm »

Hi, I have 4 Amcrest bullet PoE cameras (IP4M-1025E) connected to an Amcrest PoE NVR (NV4108E). When I initially set it all up, everything worked great. I managed to get motion detection, emails, and remote access all working, too. However, after upgrading the cameras' firmware and changing their passwords from "admin" to something more secure, three of the cameras started to show a grainy, flickering green image. The image is completely unusable. One is still fine like it was out of the box. See attachment :cry:

I couldn't access the portal for the IP cameras when they were connected to the NVR, so I disconnected them, attached them to my PoE switch (Netgear GS510TLP), found their IPs on the LAN, accessed them in-browser, changed passwords, then disconnected them from the switch and reattached them to the NVR. That's when the green flickering started. Please help!

Follow-up: the one good feed starts quickly in the web view, but the three bad ones take forever to show up. When they do they're flickery and green like in the picture above.

Things I've tried:
* moving ethernet cables to make sure there's no interference
* restarting NVR

Starting to think this might be a hardware issue.

Hello hamikm,

So the issue seems to persist with direct connection to NVR as well as through switch. I would suggest hard reset the cameras to see if that helps.

It could also be a hardware issue like you stated.
