Is it possible to adjust the focus on this camera? The mobile app has focus and iris buttons but they appear to have no effect. The desktop app does not show focus controls, but in the Help Center it does show "Regional Focus" and "Easy Focus" buttons that I wish were really there and functional.
I have my camera pointed at a skyline and the distant lights are definitely out of focus. Instead of 1 pixel each light is more like a 5-pixel diameter smudge.
Of course I have searched the user manual and the term "focus" doesn't even come up once.
Focus on IP2M-841?
Re: Focus on IP2M-841?
I have exactly the same problem. The image from the camera is not sharp at all. It's just out of focus.
I have tried to rotate the lens in the front, but this does not seem to be right.

How do I adjust the focus on the camera?
Re: Focus on IP2M-841?
Hello, anyone?
Does this camera focus?
There is a focus adjustment in the View Pro app, inside PTZ. But touching it just seems to change saturation and contrast for some reason.

Re: Focus on IP2M-841?
I have the exact same problem on both my IP2m-841 and one of the new IP3M-941 cameras. Unfortunately it seems they are fixed-focus cameras. That is fixed, out-of-focus cameras. The IP3M-941 is more out of focus than the 1080p unit. Though it may be just more noticeable because it's a higher resolution sensor. Any advice on how to manually focus these things would be appreciated.

Re: Focus on IP2M-841?
Alas, my IP2M-841 was out of focus right from the factory, too.
I suggest you either return the camera, or, if you don't mind voiding your warranty and feel confident enough for the operation, do what I did: dismantle the camera, remove the glue which locks the lens thread and make sure you can now rotate the lens by turning the front ring with a pair of tweezers, then put it back together. Now you can easily adjust the focus to your liking (rotating to the left will bring the focus closer) - the camera now performs MUCH better for me.
