I can not connect locally via browser to my 720 DVR system. Get the below message in IPCongfig tool:

"The device and pc are not in the same segment or the port is wrong."

i have the same message on one of my pc.I don t know what they are talking about?

I'm getting the same message. I have the DVR connected via ethernet cable to my CPU. Not sure if this is a correct setup but the DVR appears on the IP Config Tool. So when I try to click on the "E" that message appears.

Hello,
The DVR must be plugged in to the same router as your computer with an Ethernet cable. If you have a TV/monitor connected to the DVR, you might need to go to Settings > Network > TCP IP and change the IP address from Static to DHCP. You need to save the settings and restart the DVR. This should fix the issue. You can change the IP mode back to static afterwards.
