So this seems to be the opposite of what most people are asking for, but I just setup 2 cameras last night in my kids rooms and someone at work asked me what program I was using to view them. I have the Amcrest app on my phone so I opened it up and was somewhat surprised that I was able to view the cameras live. I was under the impression that some sort of port forwarding would be required.
Is there a way to toggle this on and off? I honestly can't think of a scenario currently where we would need to via the cameras remotely. For piece of mind I would just like it disabled. We heard a news story a while back about someone connecting into someones IP camera and talking to their kids at night.. We do have a pretty secure wireless password, but I still would rather just disable this if possible and toggle it back on if needed.
Thanks!

Re: Disable remote access
Hello goebs1986 ,
You can disable the p2p function from the camera web interface under Set up> Network > p2p. This disabled the plug and play connection. However you cannot do that from the phone app itself.
