Connect IPM-721B to Mobile Hotspot

I am wanting to set my IPM-721B up in a building that does not have internet access. I have a mobile hotspot, (Mifi through Verizon) that I can use however I can't get the camera to connect to the hotspot via the mobile app. The hotspot shows the camera is connected to it but when I do the configure on the Amcrest View app, it tells me that it cannot connect to wifi. I contacted support by phone and after explaining several times what I was trying to do, I was told I could not because the hotspot does not have a static IP. I assumed this could be done as there are several product reviews that state they used the camera this way but also stated the set up was difficult. Any ideas on how to use the camera with a hotspot?Thanks!
