Change Camera Password?

Is there a way to change the camera password on a 720P without doing a hard reset? The password is not forgotten but needs to be changed. Thank you.

Hello jbisme,

You can change the password through the camera web interface from PC or through the Amcrest view Pro app. He is how you do it on Amcrest view Pro app.

Open the app > Click on the setting menu on the top left and then go to 'Configuration center'.
Go to Modify Device Password.

Same question but my Amcrest Pro doesn't have "Settings Menu" in upper left nor a "Configuration Center".

Cannot find anywhere in the web access to change password on both my 841 and 842 IP cams. Where else can I look to change password on these cameras.

To change password, you need to access the web interface of the camera from a PC using the ip address. (video tutorial link is given below.)

You need to then go to set up > System > Manage Users. Here edit the user account and change the password.

@stevevsix Hello and welcome to the forum.

Assuming that you are talking about Amcrest Surveillance Pro, go to "Devices" and select the camera in question by clicking in the tickbox on the left. Now click on the pen icon on the right and that gives you access to the ASP settings for that device.

If it's Amcrest View Pro, then click on the top left list and select "Device Manager" then the camera in question, then click on the pen icon.
