Can't make cameras be quiet!

We just installed 3 cameras around the outside of our house and they work pretty well. The big problem is that they TALK all the time. One or the other is always telling me it's connected, or not connected, or there's a password problem etc. Is there ANY way to make them stop announcing these things all over the neighborhood -- mute them or at least turn the sound down? I'm ready to rip them down! Thank you
