I tried Edge Browser with no luck, its keeps telling me to download chrome plugin? Maybe I'm going at this wrong, all my cameras are connected to a NVR. I enter the NVRIP into edge right?

I have a NV4216E-AI NVR and I can not use the WebUI for each camera when I have my cameras plugged into the NVR POE ports. It is on a separate network and I have to access the camera via the NVR WebUI. So I connect my cameras to a separate Netgear POE switch where the IP addresses exist on my network and I can see each camera directly. If you have a 12V 1amp dc power supply you cam try powering a camera with an external power supply and use a regular ethernet port on your local network to see that works any different.

Might want to double check the Amps on the 12v of the POE cameras not all of them will work with a 1amp 12v power supply. I have some that say 2amp on the 12v line.

I sure hope Amcrest comes up with a WebUI that will allow people to access the cameras connected to the NVR. I should not have to unhook a camera from NVR to make setting changes.

It has to do with POE and nothing to do with the NVR or Amcrest that is how it is on all systems from any company.. Some people have added a Virtual Host and as such this will let you access your camera though the NVR when you turn that one.. However with that said there is still some limits on that as well.

I have 4 NVR's 2 are POE, 1 is 8ch with 4POE and is from 2012 or 2013 personally I liked the format because at the time I had some Shady POE cameras and I didn't have to worry about them talking to someone in another country I put them on the POE side not going to get out.. The others were on my Router side and made the total of 8, Then my 8ch Amcrest that one has no POE ports and I have access to all my cameras from Network. Then my Amcrest 4108E, This one has 8ch POE and sadly is no longer getting FW updates and don't have Virtual Host ability, So all the cameras you connect to that NVR's POE port are Protected from Internet exploits.. Then I have my 16ch NVR Amcrest, this also isn't POE and as such all cameras connected have the ability to be hacked..

So you have to make a choice what NVR would work for your needs.. POE NVR with POE cameras mean less Wires with better options for cameras in areas with no power near by.. However using a POE switch and a non POE NVR can be just as safe with network Firewall setup and other safe guards setup however this will or can cause stress on the Network it self.. So that is why some prefer the POE NVR as it gives a since of security for the cameras that are connected to its own segment and don't lag or cause delays in the home or business network..

Thanks Revo2Maxx
That info is a lot for me to take in, you are so smart on this stuff. I have learned a lot from you already and sure will learn a lot more. I have a Gigabit POE injector Passive POE, 30 w switch, so if I unplug the camera from the nvr and plug into injector and plug in my network cable I should be able to get into my camera setting? All I want to try is changing the BLC mode to customized and move my box around. Hoping to get better night time pictures. I did this on another camera that lets me do in with internet explorer and web view. Its so easy on that camera and it made a better night time image.Wish I could just do this in the nvr setting.

IN your NVR there should be a setting in there that lets you change Image quality and setting like that I would have thought..

About making changes, To be honest it is hard to say how your camera is setup.. This is one thing I know. 4108E, Plug in camera on back in Static mode the NVR took that and Stole the camera feed anyway Then when I moved back to my Switch side, I was not able to access the camera on the IP I had it setup for and there was no way for me to even access it as it didn't have a Reset button. So my Solution was to just add the IP into my Network settings for my computer and this I have more then 1 IP on my computer so i don't have to fight to config cameras that are new and set static at 192.168.1.108 or 0.108 I have both of them added, I also have 10.0.1.xxx added in my list of Ips in one or 2 of my computers I use for accessing cameras that are connected to my Amcrest POE NVR. This way when they move to my Switch side I can still access the cameras without having the IP and things changed from how they were setup in my NVR...

Mind you my 4108E is older Amcrest NVR Don't have Virtual Host ability and other NVR's may not have a Hostel take over feel like my does lol.. I might be wrong and it was my 3108 maybe that did the Crazy Camera take over when I connected it lol. I will have to go disconnect one of the cameras make change and find out because it has been a long time since I have added new camera to either of the 2 POE that wasn't already setup with the IP range of the POE side.. Just a habit I got into...

I can make a lot of changes in the nvr setting, but it does not let me do the BLc mode to customized the box
