Hi all, I just setup a new camera at a family members property behind an Amplifi HD WiFi router.
Amcrest ProHD 1080P WiFi Camera 2MP (1920TVL) Indoor Pan/Tilt Security Wireless IP Camera IP2M-841B
I have a few of these at different locations and they have all worked flawlessly. Never had an issue connecting when paired with a Linksys or DLink router.
This new camera I forgot to test off the local wifi network on my cellular data connection, and didn’t realize I can’t connect to it through the iOS app when I got home.
I assume it isn’t able to get UPnP working with that brand of router. Has anyone else experienced issues with Amcrest and Amplifi? I’m pretty sure the Amplifi has upnp enabled, and other advanced routing features since the Ring and other smart home sensors seem to work.

Hello and Welcome to the Forum
So a few things to think about.. IOS seems to have some issues with cameras and playback so you will want to try and use a droid device for your cameras...
Next thing you will want to try is set up a new connection for your camera and if your away from it right now with luck you will have the SN for the camera.. If you have the Serial Number for the camera follow below
Log into your Droid app, bring up the camera if you have already tired to install it and click on Device Management, then click on the Device in Question and Delete it (Trash Can Icon) Then it will take you to normal screen click on the Plus sign (+) to add a new device, Then click on Wifi Camera, Top right tab Already Connected click, then P2P option, then it will have a Scan screen pop up down below enter SN manually then inter the SN of the camera, Then next screen, put in Name, admin, and password for the camera, click add or live view and it should come online without an issue..
However if you turned off P2P that you will need to be local to the camera and turn P2P option back on, for P2P function to work this is On by Default so as long as you didn't turn it off and know the Cameras SN you can add the camera no matter where you are as long as you know the User Name and Password for the Camera and SN as already stated...

Thanks, unfortunately i dont have the SN copied down. Is there a way to pull it out of the iOS app? debug logs? settings?
Re: Camera not working remotely
Sadly I don't know of any way to get the SN for the camera without having them already recorded. I Photo my camera QR code and store them in Cloud incase I have an issue while away from home and need to buy new phone and restore my system codes (Like I dropped my phone in the lake and need a new one) however never had to do this just as a security measure.
Main issue is that if your system has never used the SN without having a Backup Config file or some other Software back up for your camera stored on your computer or phone there would be no way to get this info without being in the same room as your camera..
IF you bought them used you might check the listing for your camera and see if they have a Picture of the SN sadly I see this all to often and personally wouldn't buy a camera from someone that post the SN for the Web to own forever but is a way you might be able to get you SN and while I don't like people that post it open for all to see an idea.. IF you bought new sadly again without having the sticker on the bottom Recorded and stored in the Cloud being away form say your West coast home while your in your FL home could be an issue.
Only thing to do then is ask the person you have Entrusted with your home to keep an eye on things for you while your away. Like a Gardner, the Local PD, neighbor or adult child and ask them to send you pictures of your SN so you can get it setup.. If you don't have anyone that you gave your keys too then hope nothing happens while your gone and that your system was setup to over write older files and that however large of MSD you have installed is long enough to catch some bad actor in the act after the fact..

What to Do If You Cannot Remotely View Security Cameras Using the Internet via Port Forwarding. Make sure your cameras are connected to the network. Ensure all the ports of the network configuration are mapped to the Internet. Open the firewall in the router to allow Internet access to the camera.
