Camera Not Holding Zoom

Post by hawkeye62 »

I have an IP3M-941 camera in wireless mode that I need to zoom to get the view I want. I have used Amcrest Surveillance Pro and logging in to the camera. Either way, after a few days, the zoom gets set back to the default mode. Any advice will be appreciated.

Is the Machine a 941 or a 941v3?

If it is a V3 it don't have Zoom.

If it isn't a V3 how are you zooming? If it is a normal then you will want to use the zoom function on the right like you do when you move the camera from left to right and up and down. There is a zoom also When you use that it isn't Digital in a since however the V3 can't use that and only has Digital zoom method of zoom and that will return to full view anytime to leave the screen either going to setup or log out and log in it will be full view again..

Thanks for your reply. I believe it is V2.2, but it does have A PTZ control panel on the right side of the live view screen. And I have seen the camera move when I press the Pan/Tilt control. There is a +/- Zoom control below the round Pan, Tilt control. And there is a separate digital Zoom button on the upper part where the other controls such as Snapshot, Sound, etc buttons are. I have not used that Zoom. And finally, I just logged off and back on and the Zoom didn't change. After a few days, it will change back to the default Zoom.

I forgot to mention, there is a section at the bottom of the PTZ panel that is labeled "PTZ Settings". There is an option to "tour" which displays several different views. I will have to explore that PTZ Settings more. Maybe I can add the view I want to the list, so it is easier to restore.

Please note the picture below there is area for zoom and only way for it to stay is using the button below control that zooms in or out. You can save preset and go back to it after moving camera with controls. If when you press the zoom in ot out of the camera fov don't change and all you can do is pan or tilt you have a bad camera or a V3 a V3 you can tell looking at cameras back because no in or outputs only power and network cord no Grey IO or audio in out one with zoom has more on back of camera

The camera is definitely not V3. I am sure it is V2.2. I now know how to set and use preset views. Preset view 1 is now the view I want. So, if the camera resets the current view to the default, I can quickly get my view back.

Awesome. Glad you got it working the way you wanted now. Sorry it is hard to tell what is what when the 2 cameras called almost the same and look almost the same however function differently is something that kind of irks me in truth.. Odd my picture didn't post it was from my Phone connection maybe it was over the size limit and I didn't see when I click Submit..
