ash42 network save
ash42 network save
is there a way to have the ASH42 save files to an ftp server? or a network drive?
Re: ash42 network save
Not that I know of without other Hardware in play.. You could use a Amcrest DVR or NVR to record to and I am guessing any ONVIF recorder could be used.. However want to be careful about making changes outside the Smart home app...

Re: ash42 network save
Dang it. The listing on the item said it worked with a nas. My other amcrest cam saves to an FTP that's what i was looking for. I don't want to pay for cloud storage when i have tons of storage right here.
Re: ash42 network save
Well if the listing says it will work with NAS then I guess I am wrong.. I know my Ash21 don't have the option that I can find anywhere... Only thing I have seen is that I have a MSD in it, and I can save to my NVR, DVR and ASP (PC-NVR) and that might be an option for you ASP is most times a way for others that don't have a NVR or DVR or NAS to be able to have software on their computer to Record and Monitor just like your normal Recorder... Only down fall on ASP PC-NVR is at times it can be hard to setup... One of the things that I found is that if you have a Multi IP computer setup you will want to find a computer in your network to use ASP with that only has 1 IP.. While ASP will setup fine and be able to view and things local on a multi IP setup for some reason trying to get PC-NVR to work with Multi IP seems hard for the software to know what IP you want to use for the system and won't let you setup cameras too it.. Single IP setup PC-NVR isn't hard to setup and can be done really fast and easy only thing is keep in mind computer needs to run 24/7 for it to keep recording some people don't like to keep the PC on 24/7...

Re: ash42 network save
You are probibly right. I questioned it as when I got it there is no access to the camera from the browser and i couldn't find any way to connect it to anything but the cloud or the sd. I really don't want to have to take the sd card out all the time and copy the footage off of it either. I have not used the cloud service is there a way to get the files off of that cloud storage? Are there any sources for the ASP(PC-NVR) setup information you recommend?

Here's how to export SD card motion events to wherever you want.
In Smart Home app home page, click Events, select an event, then click download arrow at bottom, and then click Share icon.
