Hello,
I have both and IP2M-841 and IP3M-941 and they are both exhibiting the same behavior. In the past they've worked most of the time with the amcrestview.com web site and the Amcrest view pro iphone and android app.
I recently changed router (asus GT-AX11000), and configured my network from 192.168.1.x to 192.168.69.x, and I've enabled all the security features on the router. Accessing the cameras on amcrestview.com and on the mobile app no longer works when I am outside my network. I also tried connecting to my network with OpenVPN, and that still didn't work.
I could not find any documentation on this, but what exactly is needed to allow amcrestview.com and the amcrest mobile app to work outside my private network? I also would like to avoid port forwarding and avoid using UPNP to maintain security, just logging in to my VPN should be sufficient.

Re: Amcrest View Web site and App connection issues
Hello and Welcome to the Forum
So I am going to make a guess and sorry if it sounds so Stupid but it is only thing I can think of without more info..
System went from 168.1.x to 168.69.x Did you make them changes in the Cameras? I mean I can access my cameras on any of my IP's that I have setup because I have my computer setup to make that access. However for me my cameras are on 10.0.0.x for my main, However I have 10.21.8.x, 10.1.1.x and many others. Only ones that I can access outside of my Network are on 10.0.0.x range all other ranges are not on my Router Access Pool and as such they are not given Internet access..
So if you have not made the change in your camera webUI, Setup, Network, TCP/IP to reflect your 192.168.69.x range then they won't be able to access the internet..

Re: Amcrest View Web site and App connection issues
I didn't make any changes to cameras other than to make them connect to the new wifi network, they are on DHCP, and the router is configured to assign them a specific IP based on their mac address. I am able to connect to them via web browser by specifying their IP addresses, and one is configured to save video to my FTP server so the TCP/IP configuration is fine. There's only 1 subnet on my network (192.168.69.x) and the VPN subnet (10.8.0.x) which the router does route everything to (I am able to connect to all my machines, and connecting to the cameras directly via web works fine on local network and vpn. (Except that mobile browsers can't display the video)
Re: Amcrest View Web site and App connection issues
Ok sorry so sounds like the device needs to be added in app via P2P then. Log in camera WebUI and confirm p2p is online. Setup, network, tcp/ip p2p if on line then it should have access if not then your router is blocking them
Be Safe.
