Hello
Im unable to configure a storage destination to my Nas4Free server.
I have tried setting both FTP, and NAS as my path.
For FTP I have ENabled the setting, properly entered the IP of the Nas4Free server, Port 21, username and pw, and remote directory as is shows in the Nas's File Manager: HOME/mnt/ExternalDrive/amcrest
Nothing seems to write to the foler. I have confirm it has full write permissions.
Anyone have luck with setting this up on Nas4free, or FreeNAS?
Thanks
CHris

Did you ever resolve your issue? I'm experiencing the same problem trying to configure storage on my FreeNAS server, neither FTP nor NAS will work.

Re: Amcrest Prohd - FTP to NAS config on Nas4Free
I've used NAS but after enabling NFS shares the camera seemed to create corrupt files, I assume from slow connection? I set up ftp on nas4free and it seems to work better, but im seeing choppy video and some odd corruption, but they are at least playable files kinda... still trying to narrow that down.
what do you get in the nas logs? its under the nas menu diagnostics > log
I have multple cameras so i made each of them their own home directory, there were some odd chdir commands that the camera seemed to be doing to the folder when i had it just in one.
example home directory for cam 1
/mnt/zfsPool/cam/recording/dumpty
cam 2
/mnt/zfsPool/cam/recording/humpty
then in the config for the cam i have just /humpty/ or /dumpty/ as the folder to ftp to
set the primary group for the nas user to ftp and additional to wheel
chown ftpuser:wheel /mnt/ExternalDrive/amcrest
chmod 2777 /mnt/ExternalDrive/amcrest
