I bought the new .... Amcrest ProHD Outdoor 1080P WiFi Wireless IP Security Bullet Camera ... through Amazon ... I also have a Amcrest 1080P WiFi Video Monitoring Security Wireless IP Camera - Model IP2M - 841B ..... and that works GREAT .... I wanted something for OUTDOORS and thats why I bought the ProHD Outdoor Camera...

I open the box ... and NO documentation on what is what on the camera ..... OK, no big deal, I will go to the Amcrest website and download the information .... BUT I cannot find the item even listed on the website ......

I was able to set up the first camera purchased without any major issues, so I will give it go. I jump through the hoops 3 times ... the camera is UNABLE TO CONNECT with the APP

I call technical support .... and I ask them how I can tell if the camera is working .... they tell me to look at the BACK of the CAMERA for a RED LED light .... I tell them that their is NO RED LIGHT on the back of the camera ..... the tech tells me again to look ..... I am not blind .... I even offered to take a photo of the back of the camera and send to him to prove that fact .......... after 2 more times of going through this with the tech person ... he finally agrees that I MUST HAVE a defective unit ........... so I ask him to send me a new one .......... he tells me I have to wait until MONDAY ( today is SATURDAY ) to chat with the RETURN AUTHORIZATION PEOPLE ..... WHY CAN"T IT BE DONE TODAY ..... ?????????????? Very bad customer service.

Hello -- I was researching this camera and came upon your post. Try searching on for "842" or the camera model number. I was able to find the documentation and manuals for the outdoor Pro HD even though the product is not yet listed on their site for purchase.

I would like to install this camera near my front door and I was looking for ideas on how to power it up -- so that's why I was looking for the manual. It looks like it comes with a 10 foot power cord that just plugs into an outlet. I don't have an outlet near where I want to place the camera and I'm not an electrician. I guess I need to run the cord up into the attic though one of the vents, then to an extension cord and plug it in somewhere in the attic (I think there may be an outlet somewhere up there). I also read on Amazon about the reset wires just hanging out the back and wonder how to reach the wires (to perform a reset) if the camera is mounted to the fascia board outside.

Good luck with the setup and hope you get a replacement camera soon. I have two of the indoor Pro HD models and I really like them.
