Hi, when I turn motion detection on, everything works fine... I get both a mobile notification and a cloud notification, and the movement is recorded to the cloud.
However, when I try to set a schedule in the app (and turn motion detection on)... it ignores the schedule, and notifies me of motion even outside of the scheduled times I have set.
I only want to have motion detection from 9am to 6pm (when I am at work).
At the moment, I have to manually turn off motion detection in the app.
What am I doing wrong?

For best results try to setup the schedule using computer, Login to cameras web interface and schedule the motion detection as per your requirement.
Follow the below steps,
Login to cameras web interface directly. I believe the Amcrest view does not support this fully. Ensure that you have set up the below settings.
1) Go to Settings > Event > Video detection and make sure its enabled. Click on the Schedule and set up the schedule approppriately. Also seto up the detection area in the same page and check the 'Record' check box.
2) Go to Settings > Storage > Record Schedule and make sure that the 'Motion' is enabled and the schedule is set. Once done, you should see yellow lines on the schedule page. Save the settings.

I did all that (using chrome, it promts you to download the plug in every single time though).
When I run the plugin it opens a new browser which does let me log into the web interface.
I did what you said...however, I am still getting motion events flagging up on my phone despite the shedule only running to 5.20pm today (its now 7.30pm).
The exact same problem I was having when setting motion detection on my mobile.
The time displayed in the live view (Top corner) is correct , so its probably not that.

You could check what Schedules are set up in Amcrest Cloud for your camera. Perhaps they are overriding what you are setting in the camera.
