Amcrest Cloud not recording any motion

I have the Amcrest 1080p ProHD camera in use at a business location. The device is successfully configured to record motion events locally, and has been doing so for many days--I have configured the settings via the web interface as well as on my mobile device.

I added the camera on amcrestcloud.com, set it up to record all motion events all day long, and also enabled the "Global motion detection" setting, but it never records anything to amcrestcloud.com. At one point, I had this working when I had the device set up at home for testing, but then when I moved it to my business location, it stopped uploading. Now, I did redo the setup on amcrestcloud.com, deleting the original setup, but there was no change. Also, the internet connection at my business location is quite a bit slower than my connection is at home, but I would still expect it to upload. Also, when I had the device at home, it originally wasn't recording any motion events to Amcrest Cloud, but then I enabled "Global Motion Detection" and it started working, even though I had the camera itself setup to record motion events.

Can anyone provide help with how to get Amcrest Cloud to record motion events? Since I manually configured the device via the web interface, is it possible there is a local setting that is interfering? It doesn't help that there is no visibility of the amcrestcloud connection on the device itself (it would be nice if this was added in a firmware update).

Anyone ever get this working? AmcrestCloud.com captured motion events just fine for several days but stopped yesterday. I can't get it to start working again.

Can you help me find the setting in the amcrest cloud to do as you did:

"enabled "Global Motion Detection" and it started working"

I cannot see this setting on the cloud log in on a mac with safari/chrome/firefox. Looked also when logged into camera on local network using the surveillance pro 7.

Any help appreciated...I cannot get cloud recordings to work...tried setting the area grids etc ...

Hello MD99,

The Global motion detection option is no longer there on the Cloud interface. Equivalent of this setting can be found under the drop down menu on the top right of the page next to the username. There is an option "Turn cameras on". This is what you can try.

OK thanks ...please tell the rest of the support team the same! I got this reply below today and wasted 4 hours today now.
I deleted the camera from the cloud.Re set the shedule and now have motion recordings in the cloud time line.
Issue is no audio recorded.If I use the iphone amcrest APP I can hear the mic if I select speaker so i no it is working.

How do I replay the SD card files?

This has been (and still is) a challenge. My IP2M-844E is currently recording motion-detected events to the cloud; not sure exactly what got it working again. It was working, then stopped after I tried to configure regions with different threshholds. I took the advice above, deleted the camera, then added it again. Still no recording of events. Then I did something to get events recorded again (and they display on the timeline). I will try another delete/add, and see what exactly is needed to get motion detected events to record. Hey, we all have time to burn, right?

So I think the following got the motion-detected events started:
- configure a Motion Detection region using the "cog" icon in upper right of the live camera window
- click on the icon further above in the upper right that looks like a camera reel in a cloud (or maybe a heart ...?)
Now I have motion-detected events recorded and uploaded to the cloud (I have used only the cloud interface,
after the initial configuration of a password directly on the camera).
As a test, I then set the threshold to 100; that stopped further motion detected events.
Five minutes later I set the threshold back to 5; events got recorded/uploaded again.
Now I want to narrow the region, and see if I can restrict which motion triggers a recording.

Narrowing the region using the cloud interface seems to have no impact on what events get recorded.

And a second region with threshold=100 seems to have no impact as well.
