I am not using Amcrest Cloud for motion detection or storage (I am using an FTP server) but I need to know if Amcrest Cloud is able to send me notifications if it is unable to reach the cameras. The cameras can send alert in every scenario other than them powering down or loosing their internet connection so I need to close this gap.
When I add a camera to Amcrest Cloud, there is the option to activate notifications for 'Motion Detection' and 'Camera Health Check'. Does this latter option do what I want? I can find no reference to this function in any manual or help document, and there are no settings to control how this operates so I don't know what it classifies as 'health' or under what conditions it sends a notification email i.e. how often does it check the camera and how long does it need to be out of contact before it sends an email alert?
Please can someone clarify?
