960h remote connection

Hey All,

So I have a DVR 960h with 4 cameras. I have installed it and everything works. But I tried connecting it through the app and it doesnt work. I have tried both apps provided by armcrest through google playstore.

I have connected the dvr through a lan cable to my modem and I can see its connected as it shows connected and have a green light.

I have tried typing the ip into the brower followed by :8888 and :9999 as per the video and I have tried many other combinations of ips and port numbers but nothing works.

Both apps dont work either it keeps on saying login failed and once again I have tried in all combinations for the apps as well.

Does anyone know how to get his going. I would like to see the cameras when im not on my home network and at work.

Hello ddesigner,

The only app that works for 960H is the Amcrest Link, so make sure you are using that. The DVR must be connected to the router using and ethernet cable.

Usually the issue can be with this connection. You can try using a different Ethernet cable or a different port on the router.

Finally under settings > System > Do a factory reset and try again. Please note that this erases all settings and recordings.

Yeap used both app offered by amcrest. But I will try the restart option that might make something work.
