960H - cut and copy from the DVR to save a clip, cannot play

Hello,

I own the 960H and used the cut and copy to save a fragment of a video to my USB drive. It saved it as an .avi file so I thought I would be able to play it on my PC, however, it tells me it cannot play the file. I tried the Video Player that came on the tiny CD with my 960H, it too cannot play the video.

Any suggestions?

Can you tell me how you cut and saved the clip? I have the 960H and all I could get was the entire 30 minute video which is too large. Also, I emailed tech support as I can not play the .avi file too. They suggested I call at 888-212-7538

For cutting the clip and save it, you need to access the web interface of the device on a PC using its ip address and under playback, you can actually cut the playback video and download it.
