So Next month my Birthday 4-20. So Looking to get new cameras and this is one of the ones I am looking at..
So I am looking for someone that has this camera and has tried the camera in both modes Color at night with White LEDS? it says it has 98 feet of distance and then IR at night also says has same distance? Does it really have IR at night and does it offer an IRC or is it just non electric colored glass.
Is the listing wrong and only offers 1 type of light at night? Can someone that has the camera in a Low light area show 4 images at night time, 1 in each mode with Color-LED on, B/W-IR on, color at night with LED off and B/W and night and IR off?
Also has anyone tried the Motion Tracking with the camera? Human detection?
Any insight would be great. Not that it is very costly I just don't want to waste cash on camera that isn't what I read in the listing and manual.
Thanks
1190W does it really have IR and White LEds?
Re: 1190W does it really have IR and White LEds?
The white and IR lights are explained on pages 23-24 in the IP5M-1190W User Manual. Also, see
https://support.amcrest.com/hc/en-us/ar ... 5M-11190W-
If it doesn't work or you don't like it, you can return it to Amazon for refund within 30 days.

Re: 1190W does it really have IR and White LEds?
Yes thanks but again talk in there as I have read before that makes me believe it is not ir it is b/w with white light defeats the issue of being real ir or not that was why I wanted someone that has it show pic. Thank you for reply

Here's an interesting page that explains how it works for an ASH47 which is somewhat(?) similar to 1190.

Re: 1190W does it really have IR and White LEds?
Thanks jack7 I am going to guess I am to thick to get what all that really means. I have read that I have read about the 1190W I have seen what all the data has said and I guess I am just to Daft to get what the TRUTH about the camera is!
So to be Clear Back in 2021 before I bought the 7108-AI DVR I read for both the 5116-AI and the 7108-AI and Even asked others for info about what machine was what and wasn't able to get an answer (It is clear on the Web NOW(Wasn't at the time I asked in 2021)) and because I seen 7fps, or 15fps I wasn't going to move down in Frames from what I already had so I bought the 7108-AI when I was moving from a 16ch TVI DVR. When I get the DVR right on the BOX (NOT SOMETHING THAT WAS POSTED AT THE TIME) it says 8mp 15fps where all my 2mp and 5mp cameras work at 30fps and 20fps respectfully.
SO I am Clear what I see and what I am not sure if that is what it means is that the Camera don't have IR it only has White LED's and will work in Black/White mode with White LED's and or Color Mode with White Leds?????? When it talks about IR with White LED's that isn't IR and the last thing I want is the camera located in an area where I want IR so not to bring un do attention to a Cameras location that would be clearly seen from White leds and with the distance from walking area would be hard to see IR leds.
That is why in my First Post I am asking about IRC, about IR or White LEDs!
Also as we know all to well 2 cameras that look a like don't mean they are alike either. IT is very easy that the ASH47 might really have only white leds or the IP version 1190W only has White LEDS..
What I do know is my 1046EW-AI has only White LED and to turn them on you go to an area on the camera called IR and that is just wrong is so many levels... The 1046EW-AI don't have an IRC even though it works in B/W at night if I left for Auto and didn't change to Color only...
Yes Thank you though I have seen both manuals and both data sheets and both of them leave me with many un answered Questions... I also don't like buying from Amazon I buy from Amcrest website most times even though it seems to be much slower transport times. However the last time I bought from Amazon and was said I would get it 2 days it wasn't sent from Amazon really as it came from Amcrest TX lol and took way to long for to feel like wanting to buy from there like I do other things like Paper Towels that I ordered yesterday and I got today even though it was Sunday..

Re: 1190W does it really have IR and White LEds?
I mean can they do White and IR? To that it is very Easy Yes! In a Camera they offer already the ASh26 Flood light has kind of what the 47 is talking about. IR until motion then White Light comes on. IF that is really how it works that could be the best way to go and if that was only offered for the ASH47 and not the 1190W? Again these are things I don't know and without first hand idea from a Video or pictures from a Camera being used it would be really hard to tell..
Also Personally I don't like buying and Returning things.. I buy something I own it until it is no longer wanted/needed..
Thanks for all the help and ideas.
again 1190W might not have the IR and White LEds and might only be White in both B/W or Color modes and won't work in 1 of the locations that I want to mount the camera.

Re: 1190W does it really have IR and White LEds?
Ok to anyone that is wondering if the 1190W has IR and White Leds' the Answer is yes..
I don't know what the Review I looked at today was talking about however I really hate it when I see people talk trash about something without knowing how it really works lol.. Such Trolls...
So I against my better judgement went and looked at some Reviews because I got tired of waiting for the KNOW lol.. One Review says that the White Leds can't be Turned OFF BS.. If they can't turn their off then Return it, It has to be bad.
Then another and might have even been the same person but I think it was a different one that said it had LED for Night but there is no Smart IR. WTH are they talking about.. Yes it has Smart LED.. When you have your system setup with IR on at night normally if you setup on Smart IR it will trigger and then turn on the White leds.. However lets say you want to keep it as a warning. Then you could leave it in the IR mode and setup your camera with a Intrusion and or Trip wire and setup that for LED Flash. Now there is a drop down yet there is only Flash so not sure why the drop down is there... SO could keep in IR mode and use White LED as an alarm if you will. Or use Smart IR and light the way and turn on Color mode at that time..
White LED will work in Color mode, IR LED will work in IR mode. Smart will change from IR to Color. For the cost of this camera as long as mine isn't faulty with loose wiring inside and makes it longer then one would expect with such a defect then it was worth the 100 paid for it..

Re: 1190W does it really have IR and White LEds?
LOL Ok maybe I spoke to soon lol..
I will have to make a Ticket come Monday lol. Everything is great just don't Reboot or remove from power. On mine anyway if you do that, I thought it might have been trying to run the CGI for config back up that wipes it out however it isn't it is removing power or doing a Reboot IVS is removed and things don't come back to life as one would expect. So either mine is bad or there is a Glitch in the software lol..
Oh well. CGI for config back up comes back with error on one and all trashed out with the other command. So I am not sure what system this is working with but CGI isn't working with it.. Just saying..

Re: 1190W does it really have IR and White LEds?
So I will just say this. (Never return anything that I buy) This will be the first. If you have ever owned or still own a 850, 846 or 848 and or anything above. Or if you own a 841, 941, or 1051 and again any above. At the time of this Writing I would pass on the 1190W.
Using the WebUI to control the pan and tilt, When I tilt the camera at a point there is a jerk in pan like it is catching on something, It is IP55 and in truth only thing that makes this safe in its build is the camera is in Sealed head area. however my guess is the control motor and board is still in upper and out of water path.
Next and part that could be solved with FW update however when I set a IVS rule and then Reboot the camera or it looses power that rule is gone. You might be able to see it and it may work as it was setup to start with. however the RULE is no longer there and even going to WebUI, Setup, Event and looking at smart Plan it is no longer checked.
In truth I am not sure anyone will want to use IVS anyway seeing it is static and when the camera pan or tilts from area setup that rule will move also. So it is really a HOT that is NOT...

Re: 1190W does it really have IR and White LEds?
So something I thing anyone that is setting up the 1190W should keep in mind. If your going to use wifi then setup for Wifi only. If you don't then there will be issues. What is odd is I setup wifi the way I always do and tested it. While it was working it wasn't stable and I thought it was just because I was connected to a Router that was to far away or had to much traffic over the network for it to work at my current location. However there seems to be an issue with setting up Wifi the way I did. So I was given this by Support. Also given a FW to install. Camera is still on my list of NOT SO Great..
