I created an IP8M-T2499e guest user logon that restricts them to the live picture.
When I try to create another separate user with the same authorities, I get "User authorities overlap!"
I want to be able to have more than one guest without sharing the same password. Ideas?

That sounds like an issue on your camera. I just tested making multi accounts on my newest to me IP8M-TD2685EW-AI camera and I was able to add in more then one account with only monitor option. Maybe ask in Feature Request area and see if they can fix the camera.
So am clear, I setup for user, removed playback and saved, I then made another account even with same password different name removed playback and was able to make the account without issue.
It might be limited to type of Chip used in the camera?
