Replacing the hard drive

I keep getting hard disk error reboot codes. So I bought a new Seagate drive to replace it. What do I need to do once I put the new drive in?

You're going to need to get something from Amcrest so you can load the operating system on the new drive.

well you don't state what device your using, but you just need to install it and then format it.

I did not. I bought a new 8tb and just removed my HD and installed the new one and it booted right up . The OS is stored on the NVR internally and not on the HD.
