ProHD usage outdoors?

Can a ProHD be used outdoors under an awning? I realize it would not be tamper-proof, but in our situation it would be under an awning so it would not be exposed to rain/snow.

I think my question centers on whether there are any temperature extremes that it cannot handle since it would be exposed to cold in the winter and hot in the summer.

The reason we would like to use a ProHD is because of its wide field of view and because of its magnetic base.
