new dvr alarm beeping

i ghave a new dvr 7280, it came with out a hard drive
when i turn it on it beeps continuously, do i need to install a hard drive to fix it

Hello mphaas ,

Installing hard drive should fix it. The reason why its beeping is beacause it might have enables the buzzer option under abnormal event. This is under the setting under system > Event.
