Looking to buy NVR - Can you record extra stream but view main stream?

I am looking to buy a 4K NVR and have it hooked up to a 49” 4K monitor/TV.

I would like to be able to view 4K live footage but I certainly don’t need anything more than a 1080i video on motion detection of it for security purposes.

Can this be done with current Amcrest NVR’s?

Yes this is possible to do you select what stream what you would like to record and what stream you would like to display within the settings of the NVR.

I appreciate the answer. I’m just looking to buy at this point. I have an older 1080i system but didn’t know what the capabilities were with the newer 4K stuff.

I won’t need the new system until the end of the year.
