Every time you click IE it brings up Edge.. Some Ideas

Post by Revo2Maxx »

So while not many people still use or like to use IE for browsing the Internet however many users still want to use IE when it comes to viewing the WebUI of cameras, DVR's and NVR's and while it might still work today Microsoft will be doing away with it before long VIA an update and then what?

Well for now if you want to use IE then do so. Keep in mind it will Pop up and try to trick you into using Edge and it even did it to me where there was no option other then to click on a button (No X or Nothing that would let you keep using IE) So what can you do in this case because every time you bring up IE it just opens Edge now even though Chrome is setup for your Default Brower.

To get it so you can use IE again until the UPDATE removes it forever, click on IE, (Edge comes up) now click on the 3 dots on the top right, Then click on Settings, Then click on Default Browser, Then in that window will be "Let Internet Explorer open sites in Microsoft Edge" Next to it will have Always, You want to click the Drop down in that and choose Never... Now when you click IE it will open IE until the update that removes it...

Next in that same area window that you changed to NEVER at the bottom is an area that says "Internet Explorer mode pages" here you can click the Add button and put in the URL for your Cameras, DVR or NVR's here and every time you want to go to one of them addressed it will open the page in IE Mode. The good news is that IE Mode will be offered and supported they say right now anyway until 2029..

Just some ideas to try and help.. Other things to do is use NVR, or ASP. Keep in mind that ASP and NVR still don't offer all features that IE does (Did) and better to use IE
