email to a mobile phone text

I purchased this camera to use for security with the understanding I could email to my phone text message. Sending to Verizon vtext fails the test everytime. I understand the requirements for the receiving end but can not get the Amcrest 1p2m-841 software to acknowledge a successful send. Is this a weakness in the Amcrest or am I missing something?

Are you able to send a successful email to any other address? The camera does not connect directly to your incoming mail server to send email, it requires an SMTP server to do this. Please post a screen shot of your email setup from the camera's interface.

This is not a limitation of the camera or system, this is the way email works in general.
