Access from Chromebook

Post by MarkLAmcrest »

I downloaded Web View extension on my chromebook, when I use it I get a login window on the camera but after I click login nothing happens. I need to occasionally change the camera config from the wired to wifi interface and don't seem to find any way to do that from my android phone. I don't have a windows or mac computer so I can't use the IP config tool. Is there any way from the smartphone to get access to the network config stuff on the camera, or any way to get the extension to work on my chromebook?

For android phone on wifi, use cam IP address in Chrome browser to access Amcrest Web UI. Cam settings can be changed, but whether you can see video stream depends on cam firmware. For a remote phone, port forwarding or a VPN would also be needed.

Don't try to to install the plugin. Just pan up page to click Setup.
