I understand the benefits and ease of installation with WiFi, however, it has its share of problems too; mainly, reliability. I consider front door surveillance to be a critical function of my home network, and not something I’d chance to WiFi.
I’d love to see an Amcrest video doorbell with a proper Ethernet port. I know that Amcrest competes against companies like Ring, and video doorbells are a big part of that market, but I think the typical Amcrest customer is more of a “prosumer”, especially compared to the average Ring customer. I think a wired video doorbell can be a great differentiator between Amcrest and competing video doorbells.
