I haven't tried the beta firmware, but with the latest stable I just call this in my browser.

Code: Select all

<ip address of camera>/cgi-bin/configManager.cgi?action=setConfig&MotionDetect[0].EventHandler.SnapshotTimes=50
I then get up to 50 snapshots per motion event via FTP or on the SD card, but still only a maximum of 5 per email per motion event (until gmail stopped working). I haven't tried higher amounts. 50 was a good amount for me.

I've upgraded to this beta firmware and the

Code: Select all

/cgi-bin/configManager.cgi?action=setConfig&MotionDetect[0].EventHandler.SnapshotTimes=50
work around works on it as well. I have not tested with emails because I had been sending them through GMail, which is broken at the moment.

Nice to be able to use Firefox with this now and great to see it reboot without deleting everything from the FTP folder! I might be able to turn the weekly rebooting back on now.

So far so good. Thank you.

adambiser,

Thank you for the feedback and information. I will pass this along to our R&D team for further evaluation.

Also, we do have a JS firmware beta for the 841 model that includes the Gmail fix as well. Please go to the link for this beta.

That beta is only for the 841, though, right? I have an IPM-721S.

adambiser,

That is correct only for the 841 model. We will provide the others as soon as it becomes available to us.

Team,

So I upgraded from latest stable to this BETA version. I am using 721W model.

As I previously mentioned in the other thread (https://amcrest.com/forum/beta-testing- ... 12371.html) there is an issue with enabling HTTPS causes the device to endlessly reboot over and over.

The same reboot issue (after enabling HTTPS) persists in this release as well.

Thankyou.

Additionally looks like the config import option does not work (export does - only through chrome or firefox).

Manual re-configuring is.. painful. :(
